When practising high-intensity and/or endurance sports, certain muscle damage/breakdown occurs.
The hours following exercise are crucial in order to offset this muscle damage through protein intake, since the body does not store protein, unlike carbohydrates.
The digestive system digests proteins at different rates according to the molecular composition of each protein. Once broken down, the amino acids that make up the proteins are released into the bloodstream for use in the formation/regeneration of muscle mass, synthesis of antibodies, etc.
In its composition, PROTEIN SECUENCIAL combines three sources of protein with different absorption rates, promoting the immediate and sustained provision of amino acids until the slowest source of protein has been fully digested.
It contains a source of high biological value whey protein concentrate (Lacprodan®, Arla Foods Ingredients Group P/s.)
It contains a source of protein consisting of patented bioactive collagen peptides (Bodybalance®) specifically used to combat sarcopenia, supported by clinical studies and publications in the British Journal of Nutrition1, which is the first study in the world to show the effect of collagen peptides and their relationship to body composition and muscle strength.
It contains a source of protein from calcium caseinate with high biological value and the slow digestion that is characteristic of this source.
Its formulation has a high protein content, is low in sugar and gluten-free, providing per serving between 28 and 31 g of protein and an essential amino acid content of between 10,52 and 12,1 g depending on the flavour. In addition, it includes vitamins B6, B9 and B12 for normal amino acid synthesis and protein metabolism.
Due to its slow release of sequential protein over time, PROTEIN SECUENCIAL is recommended to be taken post-exercise and/or before going to sleep in order to offset muscle catabolism and/or increase muscle mass.
