Muscle tissue is constantly remodelling through continuous and simultaneous protein degradation (catabolism) and synthesis (anabolism) processes. The result between muscle degradation/synthesis is either positive or negative depending on whether it decreases or increases muscle mass. It is experienced by both athletes who do strength training and those who do endurance sports.
One of the key factors to promote an increase in muscle mass is our diet, and especially the amount of protein we consume. Protein chains are composed of hundreds of links called amino acids. Some of these links (non-essential amino acids) can be synthesised by the body using other molecules, while others (essential amino acids) cannot be synthesised and must be provided in our diets.
Human beings need to obtain 9 essential amino acids from exogenous sources for optimum protein synthesis: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, L-Lysine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan, L-Methionine and L-Histidine.
AAEE by Infisport® contains these 9 non-essential amino acids that cannot be synthesised by the body in its formula and so it increases the biological value of the diet.
It stands out for its high content in Kyowa-quality branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and especially L-Leucine, providing 6.45 g per serving.
