During high-intensity physical exercise, or exercise over a long period of time, a series of physiological processes takes place, such as the loss of water and electrolytes, reduction in glycogen deposits and the catabolism of muscle fibres that may change physical performance.
ND4® was formulated taking those physiological processes into consideration, so as to offer a comprehensive, effective and suitable solution.
Its formula of two parts carbohydrates to one part glucose vs fructose, provides greater oxidation per unit of time than other carbohydrate proportions, which provides a greater level of energy 1. Each serving provides 30g, reaching 60/90g per hour using different combinations.
It contains high-quality amino acids in appropriate proportions for athletes who practice long-distance sports or those involving high-intensity intervals. 2g of BCAA in the proportion of 6:1:1 (100% Ajinomoto Co.) and 1g of L-glutamine (Kyowa Quality®) per serving.
Following the recommendations of the main sports medicine organisations, regarding the sodium concentration required in sports drinks for them to be effective, the product contains a sodium concentration of 1,000mg/litre. For each serving 500mg.
It contains magnesium and vitamin B6, which helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. Its vitamin C, B1, B2 and B6 content contributes to obtaining a normal energetic metabolism.
It also contains selenium and vitamin C and E, which contribute to protecting cells from oxidative damage.
Once turned back into water, ND4® is an isotonic solution that facilitates gastric emptying and absorption.
ND4® green apple flavoured powder comes in a case with 15 sachets of 40 g.
