Carbohydrates + proteins

During the first 30 minutes after exercise there is what we call the ‘metabolic window’ when a great deal of enzyme activity is produced to restore glycogen with the intake of easily absorbed carbohydrates. The recommended amount is a dose of 1 to 1.5 g/kg bodyweight. In addition, during strength or interval training, there is a certain breakdown of the muscles or catabolism. Therefore, we include proteins of high biological value to the formulas to help conserve muscle mass.
